Join us at Studio Forma in South Lake Union for a vintage & second-hand inspired fall event! Hosted with Michelle Moore - owner of blaksands.

Thursday October 2nd from 5 - 8pm

at 700 Dexter Ave ( suite 201 ) Seattle WA 98109

join us for a fall fashion inspired clothing swap at our newest pop-up activation in South Lake Union. inspired by vintage, second-hand and circular fashion - our aim is to bring together community and introduce you to new ways to re-think your wardrobe and what it means to shop "sustainably".

cake + wine ( and N/A options ) will be available to snack & sip while you shop, swap and make new friends.

How it will work - bring up to (5) pieces of gently worn ( vintage or secondhand ) clothing to swap. We ask that your items are washed or dry-cleaned and ready to be passed along to a new owner. Please skip fast fashion & work-out wear/leisurewear , and focus on fall items and natural fabrics ( wool, cotton, silk, linen etc. ) Imagine the items you would gift to a friend - something you might still wear or own that doesn't work for you at the moment. We want to encourage mindful swapping, and help keep pieces circulating amongst like-minded individuals.

Clothing Rack + Hangers will be provided to you. RSVPs are required to ensure we can prepare enough space for what you will bring.

Michelle, owner of blaksands - is on a mission to cultivate a positive and welcoming community of like-minded people ; one where we feel safe to connect, share and seek advice.

Your ticket includes; access to the event and 10% off your in-store purchase* from blaksands. *the Beanie is excluded from this discount offer. Discount only applies to purchases made in-person at Studio Forma on Thursday October 2nd.

You can swap for as many items as you bring - bring 5 items and take ( up to ) 5 items. Any left-over items will be donated to Mary's Place.

Space is limited. Please RSVP to reserve your spot!

CARE & MAINTENANCE

All vintage and pre-loved items have been laundered and/or repaired as needed.

For cottons & denim we recommend washing on cold and laying or hanging flat to dry.

For silks, linens and more delicate vintage tees, we recommend either hand-washing, or washing on delicate ( in a front loader machine ) and carefully hanging to dry/shape.

For wool - these items may be spot treated, or left to air out in the sun. When needed, we recommend washing on a wool cycle with wool detergent, or by hand - carefully rinsing and laying flat to shape/dry.

For all Beanies and hand-knit items - please refer to our full care page here
