the Beanie - care guide

thank you for your purchase of our hand knit beanies! each beanie is knit-to-order with love by blaksands owner Michelle. there may be slight variations in color and size due to the nature of hand-dyed, natural yarn. this makes your beanie special and unique - just like you!

we use sustainable 100% merino wool. your beanie will stretch and mold to fit your head with time. soon it will feel like an old friend.

to care:
wool is all natural and has antibacterial properties.it does not need to be washed - simply air out between wearings or after getting wet. if needed, we recommend that you spot treat by hand with a mild soap.

it’s totally fine for your beanie to get wet! it will keep you warm in the rain - just let fully dry between wearings - or - before storing.

threads:
if you see a thread pop out - do not pull or cut! simply tuck back into place. all threads are woven carefully into themselves and will never unravel, however you may see the end of where the beanie begins and/or ends. this is purely a part of what a hand-made knit garment looks like.

with proper care - your beanie will last a lifetime.
