Join us at HALITE in Lower Queen Anne for a Mug Handbuilding class with Courtney of The Waight

Wednesday October 4th 6 - 8pm ( HALITE will be open to the public from 11am - 8pm for shopping )

Class Description

In this hands-on class you will learn coiling, pinching, slab rolling and handle attaching. You will use all of these skills to create your own functional drinking vessel. We will also discuss the properties that make a great functional cup and apply those to our designs. A beautiful speckled clay will be provided along with all other tools and materials needed to create the mug. After you handbuild your piece it will be bisque fired, glazed, and then fired again before it is returned to you to pick-up* and enjoy all season long. Your final piece will be dishwasher and microwave safe.
*There will be a 3 week turnaround for the firings and pick up will be at Halite.

Open to ages 16 and over. Space is limited. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
